My name is Grant Bayton and I have over 25 Years' experience in the world of cycling from riding to delivering events. I raced as professional cyclist for several years that includes racing for the Pope’s team Amore e Vita that is an Italian based team, I was fortunate to race at a reasonable level for a number of years which gave me the skills to understand what is required to be dedicated and organised in all levels of cycling.
I was born into the world of cycling with my Father Phil Bayton who was a successful professional cyclist for over 20 years; his claim to fame was finishing 4th in the Munich Olympic Games along with winning many National events in the UK. I was taken all over the country to watch my Dad compete, this was a fantastic childhood experience meeting some of the great cyclists of the 80’s and 90’s.
I have in more recent years worked for British Cycling for over 5 years helping Event Organisers in the delivery of events, training volunteers and working with various authorities in safeguarding road racing on the open Highways.
All of the above has given me a wide breadth of knowledge and skills across the sport of cycling, I have also built a comprehensive database of influential contacts within the word of cycling that has helped with the delivery of many events of my own.
